Resource Library Headless CMS Migration
9thCO successfully migrated Convoso's complex resource library from a legacy CMS to a modern, headless Storyblok platform. The key to the project was flattening the inefficient, hierarchical content structure into a streamlined, non-hierarchical model.
The Challenge
Convoso, a provider of AI-powered contact center software (CCaaS), was looking to replatform from their legacy Wordpress CMS as they had outgrown the basic and monolithic approach they provide.
Within their CMS, a complex resource centre existed mapping and filtering content based on Wordpress’ out of the box hierarchical taxonomy system creating a cataloging large tree resulting in duplicate content, inefficient querying leading to slower site response, and a messy archive.
The Solution
Our Team worked with Convoso to architect a new tagging structure for their extensive resource library from the ground up, focusing on performance, scalability, and content management efficiency. The first step was a deep dive into their existing content structure to design a new, flexible information architecture. We replaced the rigid hierarchical system with a decoupled, tag-based content model.
Once the new content strategy was approved, we engineered a solution using a modern, headless architecture. Our development team chose a technology stack designed to solve Convoso's specific challenges around performance and data querying, ensuring the new platform would be future-proof. Notable technologies and methodologies implemented include:
Headless CMS Implementation using Storyblok to provide a flexible and developer-friendly content management experience, eliminating the constraints of the monolithic WordPress system.
Next.js Frontend Development to build a high-performance website that is both incredibly fast for users and highly optimized for search engine crawlers (SEO).
Decoupled Information Architecture with a custom, tag-based content model that prevents content duplication and allows for dynamic, multi-faceted filtering in the resource center.
Modern UI Development using the Tailwind CSS utility-first framework to rapidly build a consistent, responsive, and reusable component library.
Scalable Cloud Deployment by configuring and deploying the application to Vercel, a leading cloud platform optimized for Next.js applications, ensuring high availability and seamless scalability.
